We always do our best to fix your boiler whenever we attend a boiler break down but unfortunately, it’s not always possible.  Our heating engineers will look for wear and tear or signs of a leak to see why your boiler isn’t working and assess the overall condition of your boiler or heating system.  We also work closely with the boiler manufactures technical support teams to obtain their direct guidance.

Once we have made all our checks, we may advise that your boiler is BER.  BER stands for beyond economical repair, that’s not to say it can’t be repaired but your heating engineer may deem the costs too costly in comparison to a new boiler installation.  There may be more than one part that’s faulty and often the parts themselves can be costly.  If your boiler is very old, it may not be worth fixing if different parts keep failing.
